We thought Spring Break was suppose to be chill. Guess not. It's time to officially announce that Huckin Huge Films has started production on it's upcoming release. Stay tuned for the full update on that one. The schedule and happenings over the course of the past week and a half have been mind blowing. Huckin Huge's, Cody Howard was interviewed on the Today Show, and the smash hit THE RISEN SUN, was featured on there as well! The following day, Cody fired up Metlako Falls with Brian "B-Real" Ward, from Idaho. Check the short clip of the epic day. Prior to these happenings, Jake Sanders (you've seen him here before with a re-first on Money Drop version)...dropped the impressive-low flow-left side Mosier Creek Falls. The footage is sick as he greases the extremely technical line. Tyler Bradt and Ian Garcia have been slaying everything in sight. Tyler ran up to Bridal Veil Falls and stuck the 2nd descent of the Upper Falls...an impressive sight and sick display of technique and style. So there is much much more to be included, but we'll break it up and save some more for later. Charge.

Huckin Huge has been ultra busy with various missions all over the West (hint hint). REI has officially picked up The Risen Sun as a featured whitewater DVD for sale!...so you can pick up your copy there as well soon. Nice, well on to the madness. The Columbia Experience team united for a community float down the Hanford Section outside of Kennewick, WA. This stretch is private land on River Left and a Nuclear Plant on River Right. Screaming in from the farmlands on River Left, where multiple flumes that dropped steeply down the hillside, eventually spilling out into the Columbia River. This was a sweet sight for the whitewater boaters on the flatwater, as we scouted and plotted lines off the tricky man made features. Ryan Scott fired up the first descent of one of them, now dubbed "Nuke Flume". Sliding 1,584 feet, dropping 160 feet and max width of 4 ft...the Nuke Flume was a stout beast, with a spouting 30 fter in 5 ft. deep pool. Wow, thats alot of numbers. The footage is so sick, resembling a scene out of a skateboard movie. Later, Cody Howard was on board for Tyler Bradt's monstrous first descent of the 186ft. Palouse Falls. Tyler stomped the ever living crap out it, the footage will be seen in Rev-Inn & River Roots upcoming film, Dream Result. We're stoked. Lots more happened so stay tuned. Photos by Lana Young.

Word will get out soon enough about the exact location of this bad boy, so for now here is the story. It all started with the Wells brother's, Todd and Brendan - (Huckin Huge's affiliated post) - giving us a call about a backyard doosy in the Columbia River Gorge area. Cody Howard and Bett Adams joined them for the first known descent of the lower "Skate Park Gorge". Finding large falls and slides all over the place, it seemed that this was nature's slip and slide version of a stout skate park. Returning to the creek for the 3rd day in a row, Ben Stooksberry followed by Cody Howard probed the last unrun drop, a kick-ass free fall-to-tranny-to-FLYING boof across the pool...proving to be one of the most fun and unique drops run yet. Footage will be featured in HH's next feature film........

Bett Adams checkin out the 4 tiering, Fat Chicks. Epic runnable sequence.

Oh yeeeaahhh! Nature's gift to kayaking, the quarter pipe launch monster.
Ben and Ryan Scott film Cody dropping into The Well. Ben then ran it from the top.
Special thanks goes out to the Wells bros, Lana Young, Ryan Scott and Bett Adams for the support, photos, tips and safety over the course of sussing out the creek! Here is a sequence of Cody running a grind down a complex slide.

The Kaweah River dishes up yet another classic! SLProdutions 1st D'ed this epic run a few years ago, and since has been untouched. Heading south for the traditional for the RMP, the team dropped into the 2nd Descent of the Middle Kaweah. Tayor Robertson was on the 1st D and was very helpful dishing out some beta over a couple beers in Three Rivers. The following day a team of 4 consisting of Erik Boomer, Cody Howard, Dan Laham and Scott Baker hiked up from Hospital Rock and camped after an afternoon of hiking, anticipating the following day's whitewater. Waking up to a gorge comparable to The Crucible on the Devil's Post Pile, the crew was widdled down to three when Scott decided to exit the gorge at the "Eddy Rapid" aka Rusty's Rampage.

Cody Howard hiking into the Middle Kaweah. Erik Boomer Photo Panther Creek Gorge of the Middle Kaweah proved to be one of the most amazing gorges in the state, as it required mandatory drops in an extremely vertical gorge lined with low elevation mazanita and poison oak. Starting with the Eddy Rapid and ending with the Crack 'o Death, the team was stoked to make it through with the rising waters.
Dealing from within Panther Creek Gorge. Erik Boomer Photo

Dan running running the mandatory exit rapid. Notice the terrible death crack that the water is slamming into. A nerve wracking move / hole. Erik Boomer Photo Check out some clips of the trip below. Shown is some of the happenings on the "way in", "on the river" thoughts and the mandatories found in the rivers' depths. Shots from within the demanding Panther Creek Gorge, turned out amazing and will be featured in HH's future release.

Day Three whitewater..Chuck's @ a high - fully loaded boat - flow. Roosty. Erik Boomer Photo Day Three took the team through the final gorges and eventually into familiar territories with Chuck's Drop in sight. Fired up, Cody and Erik then routed their gear and boats through Hospital Rock to cap off an epic expedition. So if you missed it, take a look at the couple clips above. Insane shots to be featured in Huckin Huge's next film!
